Description

These Beef Bulgogi Bao buns are a delicious way to enjoy leftovers.

Ingredients

Scale

Special Gochuchang Sauce

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons Gochuchang
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Lightly oil and prepare steamer in a pot with enough water to not touch the steamer grid.
  2. Bring water to a simmer and arrange lotus leaf buns on a single layer with space between the buns. (They will slightly puff up as they cook.)
  3. Warm leftover beef bulgogi
  4. In a small container, mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, Gochuchang, lime juice, and black pepper and stir well to combine.
  5. When the lotus leaf buns are steamed (follow package directions), remove them from the heat and gently open the bun being careful not to break the back of the bun.
  6. Add a generous spoonful of the beef bulgogi and top with a dollop of Gochuchang sauce. Garnish with cilantro leaves as desired and serve warm.

Notes

Quick Asian Slaw with Sesame Vinaigrette is the perfect accompaniment to these buns.
